Jump to: navigation, search

Ontology learning is a field of research that aims to support the difficult and time consuming task of knowledge acquisition by automated techniques. The term ontology learning was coined by Alexander M├Ądche and Steffen Staab who proposed an initial set of tasks and methods for the automated generation of ontologies from natural language text, thereby emphasizing aspects of multidisciplinarity, interactivity and the required integration with ontology engineering methodologies.
